This book jumped around from the 1930s to 1990s and multiple points in between. With the nonlinear timeline and many characters, it was hard to follow. The characters were all pretty flat, and there wasn’t much of a plot. I haven’t given any of this author’s 3 books more than 3 stars, so if he writes any more I won’t be in a hurry to read them.
