Wow, I actually really loved this book, I put off reading it for so long, I’m not sure why, probably because it came across as just another YA novel. But the story was so hooking and the characters so intriguing and the main character for once wasn’t an arrogant, attitude filled, “nasty” girl! She was nice, and a bit of a dork, and wasn’t all mysterious and didn’t hold herself in high regard or monologue about her power and gosh darn it was refreshing! I can’t wait to find out more about the Apparat and the role he has to play. I loved the Russian like setting and all the different factors in the small science. The dialogue wasn’t cringeworthy which again was refreshing and the humour wasn’t try hard. I just really enjoyed it and would 100% recommend it!
