4.5/5: This is one of those "stay up all night and finish" kinda books for me. I kept telling myself that I'd only stay up for one more chapter, but then suddenly it was three o'clock in the morning and I needed MORE. It's got danger, love, magic, friendship, pirates, fae, morally gray characters, dual POV, and a killer cliffhanger!
I only wish there was a tad bit more information given about the political history and what led to whatever happened with the fae. I assume that's coming in the next book, but it would have been nice to have more context.
