One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

WELL THANKS FOR MAKING ME CRY TAYLOR.

This book is absolutely heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Dealing with the grief of the loss (ha) of her husband and discovering the world of growing out of your grief and then having to make a terrible decision on top of it?

Every character in this book is so wonderfully dynamic. They are strong and weak and broken and whole and everything that actual humans are. I felt like I was reading someone's personal life story for how realistic the whole thing felt. Her brother ripped my heart out and put it back together so many times dealing with his addictions.

Honestly, I was over half-way through this book before I realized that this genre is not one of my usual haunts. It's tragic and beautiful and the family is exactly what you want a family to be; there for you no matter what and always willing to support you, even when they're idiots about it, even if you hate them for it at the time.

I think everyone should read this book. It's jarring, and wonderful.
