Dear Daughter by Elizabeth Little

4.0

Jane Jenkins is the stereotype rich young party girl and after finding her mother murdered she is arrested, convicted and sent to prison. After she spent 10 years in prison she gets set free due to the evidence used to convict her was found to be "mishandled" by the police department. However she really isn't sure what happened to her mother at all so she decides to go find out, all the while trying to hide from the media who want to know her every move and believe her to be guilty. Now Jane is definitely the kind of stuck up sarcastic brat that you just have to hate but all the while you're still rooting for her to find out the truth in hopes that she isn't actually guilty. You also get that creepy small town close knit scenery and I always love that in a mystery. I enjoyed this a lot it was really fast paced and the little cut scenes in between chapters of interviews and news articles was a nice touch. The books ends with out answering some questions I had but overall I still enjoyed it.
