Being a story about a murder spree makes this novel quite gritty. But, I must say there were twists I never saw coming.
Maeve's personal experiences during this novel kept my interest as well. It was diverting, but not distracting.
Definitely not for young readers. But, if you like a good police procedural, this should be a good fit.
