It definitely was a lot more childish than I expected it to be. It says a lot that I enjoyed the real world parts more, than when they were in the fantasy world. The characters, in the beggining were very annoying to me, but I've grown to like them. I have to give it to the writer that she really tried to come up with a unique world and it had a lot of interesting ideas
The end, to me, was really unfinished, like it has been cut off. I don't know if the writer is planning on this to be a series, but I didn't felt like the book was properly ended.
