Bite Club by Rachel Caine

1.0

I am ninety-nine-point-nine per cent sure this book's existence is down to Rachel Caine latching on to the pun of the title, and not the story inspiring the pun. This is the first time that Caine experiments with an alternate perspective from Claire's, but unfortunately she chooses Shane as her subject. I like Shane as a character; his personal growth has been one of the most satisfying things in this series—which is why its so disappointing to get a Shane that reads like he's simply forgotten about the six books of character development that have happened since Midnight Ally. I can't justify this books existence in any way and its just incredibly disappointing as a fan of the series.
