A quiet atmospheric read. I enjoyed the way that the story was told in a fragmented way that alternated between different characters and time periods, but do understand how some would find this disorienting.  I liked the exploration of themes such as; grief, obsession, climate, love and colonisation. Though I do think there we a couple of instances where a plot point was set up really well to not really have much pay off later on. Overall though I did enjoy this book and would consider reading it again in the future.
