Superhero by Eli Easton

This was a significantly shorter read than I'd been expecting. I was a fan of one of the author's Christmas themed books a couple of years ago and spinning the roulette wheel of books to read, Superhero came up. It's been a couple of weeks since I read it so the details aren't fresh in my mind, but what sticks out to me from this one is that the potential downsides to the characters being a couple were well realized. People would be upset, unkind, even violent, and in the end, it would work out. The messaging was strong.

I bumped this up to five stars for my re-read. I agree with everything I said the first time, that the real world being messy was fully acknowledged here. As a short story, this one packed it in, but hit all the right moments.
