A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers

2.0

I did not like the prose and writing style at all. I enjoyed it for like 50 pages than the pretentious style quickly got boring, the stream of consciousness parts just got dull after a while. There was no real twists, it got repetitive, one man after another, one dick after another. Even when it was like whoo its so gruesome you reader probably cant handle it!!! It really wasnt.
To be fair to the book, in the context of it being a memoir of a 50something writer who spent her entire life entitled and eating expensive foods, this style fits. She likes to hear her own voice, even if its much duller than she(the character or the writer, who knows) thinks it is.
