The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

4.0

I need to clarify my rating. I rated this four stars for what it's supposed to be: a crime, mystery, thriller novel. I think it's a damn good one at that, too.

I don't think that it convinced me that Jesus had a son, or that Mary Magdalene and him were married, or anything like that. I don't think it changed the face of religion in the world as we know it.

I DO think that it was extremely interesting and a teeny bit eye-opening, just in the respect that it gets you thinking about these things and the possibility that the Church could be stuff that it's not supposed to be--which some Catholics certainly don't realize.

SO: four stars because I loved reading it and it drew me in to find out what happened in the end. Not five stars, because it didn't live up to the "enlightening" claims and such.
