BRO.  I’m still on board.  First things first, Slade has shot right to the top of my book boyfriend chart.  10/10 would recommend.  Auren’s arc is really moving along in such a realistic way.  I was going to say relatable but I’ve never been held prisoner and developed heavy Stockholm syndrome sooo.. yeah.  But she’s really coming into herself and I still find her delightful and also am now quite proud of her.

While the storyline could MAYBE have been resolved in this book, it feels like that would have been pushing it and I’m really glad Kennedy opted for a 4th book.  (And 5th and 6th apparently but whether I’ll agree to their necessity remains to be seen).  There are plenty of open paths that remain and conflicts that will occur and need to be settled and it doesn’t even feel forced.  I don’t think I felt like I was reading “filler” at any point.  So anyway, hell yeah, read these books.
