The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes

This book hurts and yet was so incredible. Being gay there are so many fears you deal with on a daily basis and Reyes conveyed that beautifully. There are so many things I want to say about this novel. I want to say that it furthers the conversation about mental health and LGBTQ+ folks, religious trauma, and so many more important subjects.
Being a queer person in a straight society can suck but this book made me feel seen; and sometimes that’s the most important gift an author can give.
