Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thích Nhất Hạnh
5.0
Thich Nhat Hanh manages to take a fraught topic like religion and make it all seem so reasonable. So kindhearted. And we need that energy now more than ever.
I loved the parallels between Christianity (the way it was intended) and Buddhism. And the way he came round and round and round to the point that no one wins, nothing is gained, when we can't respect each other's heritage and traditions--and leave some space open for the idea that perhaps there is more than one way to believe.
This book brought a lot of sanity and grounding back into my world. It reminded me of the comfort and freedom I find in Buddhism, and that many of those teachings are bolstered by what I learned about the life of Jesus as a kid.
Highly recommend this one,.
