Kneel, Mr. President by Lauren Gallagher

4.0

I just finished "Kneel Mr. President" by Lauren Gallagher, narrated by the amazing Aidan Snow. Despite some initial struggles with the repetitive first part, I stayed hooked, mainly thanks to Snow's fantastic narration. The story revolves around Kent, a Secret Service agent, and James, the president, who, with Colleen's suggestion, explore a triad relationship. The BDSM elements felt a bit unrealistic, lacking basic submissive expressions. The middle of the book, with its well-written, steamy scenes, was a highlight. However, the lack of communication about the future of their triad left me uneasy. Kent's sacrificial involvement felt unaddressed until he decided to bow out, creating a void that was eventually filled as they became a triad. The reasoning for their triad felt weak, hinging on James wanting both partners. Despite these qualms, the book made me think, feel, and connect, earning it a solid four stars, with the potential for five if certain aspects were refined. It's a compelling story I'll likely revisit and add to my favorites.
