Our Town by Thornton Wilder

4.0

This slice of life story in pre-war America is a warmhearted look at life, love and community. The third act in particular is thoughtful and intelligent, leaving the audience with much to ponder about living life while you can.

I met the characters Emily, George, Mr Gibbs and the rest of the town folk. Split into three acts, the third is by far the most emotional and heart wrenching.

“Does anybody realize what life is while they’re living it - every, every day?”

Our Town a fairly slow and intimate portrait of one town and its residents, perfect for fans of Wendell Berry or Elizabeth Strout
