It’s not often that I think a sequel is even better than the first book, but this one definitely is! It was such a thrill to see Osman really settle into the characters (all of whom I’d gladly hang out with and it feels unfair that I can’t) and develop a fresh mystery full of twists and turns that are unexpected yet accessible to follow. I laughed out loud multiple times, though I did feel a spot of grief for Poppy’s death; it’s also unfair that she wasn’t doing something she loved when she died . I can’t wait to read the third one.
Graphic: Gun violence
