I thought this read was really cute. Still your typical holiday Hallmark romance. Big city woman and local small-town guy, but this felt more realistic at times. I appreciated that everything in the story wasn't sunshine and rainbows. There was plenty of tragedy in the town and realistic things happening to the people.
I really enjoyed Lana's character and I was honestly hoping for a little bit more of a realistic ending. I think Rick had the right idea with them being two different people - we were so close & yet so far. Overall I found it a really quaint holiday read & appreciated that even though it's technically a series you didn't need to read the others to follow along. The author did a great job of catching you up on some characters in the beginning.
