Did not finish book. Stopped at 78%.

It was monotonous.   That's sums up the over all feeling I was experiencing while reading.  Yes, he's a grumpy MLB player that feels unworthy since losing his talent.  We recieved that message quite clearly over and over and over.  The characters are not likeable. This is about the 10th book I've read by this author.  They've all been wonderful.  Not this one.  You're not missing anything by skipping this one.  They can't always be grand slams.
