Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
the blurb says no-holds-barred but the tone is fairly YA and a bit shallow. there’s casual and uninterrogated cannibalism and I think that’s supposed to be the ‘metal’ aspect of it but there was not nearly enough introspection for it to be interesting. I picked this up because it has a cool cover and I learned my lesson about doing that.

also I love me a post-apocalypse because it leaves so much up to the author in terms of world-building and there just wasn’t any here :(
