THIS WAS SO CUTE AND WHOLESOME AND FUN YET HEAVY WITH CHALLENGES. IT WAS SO GOOD ♟️🇮🇹🫦🤭😩🥹❤️🩹🤞🏼
i was so excited that ali was writing a ya novel and that it was about chess. even though i know nothing about the game, i really enjoyed how much detail and technically it went into. i loved seeing mallory face the challenges of being a woman in a male dominated game.
seeing the lengths mallory went to for her family was tough and i just wanted to hug her. she is an amazing sister and im so happy it worked out for her. her feelings towards easton were so valid but im glad they overcame sorted it out. nolan was so sweet and gentle and how he could read her >>>
the way this man supported her and begged to play against her. the way he called her out for making excuses. the way he believed in her when she didn’t. THE WAY HE SMILED AT THE END WHEN ASKED HOW HE FELT ABOUT HER ALMOST BEATING HIS POINT SCORE 😭🤭💞🫶🏼 i love him.
their stolen and cute moments were so precious, especially in the epilogue! i was buying my lip and grinning 😩🫦
