No Land to Light On by Yara Zgheib

This is a beautiful book. The words are written very poetically and the parallels with the birds mentioned throughout is well done. The story of these two separated by a quickly applied travel ban is gut wrenching at times to read about. This book jumps around the timeline but each aspect is important. This book won't be for everyone but I feel lucky I was able to read it. I would recommend to anyone looking for an international story and a story about the challenges of immigration. This book made me pause, and take time to realize while this story if fictional this situation happened to many. Thank you to Simon and Schuster Book Club Favorites for a copy of this book. Its out January 2022.
