The Killer You Know by S.R. Masters

dark mysterious medium-paced

3.5

This was a cool read, but honestly read like a YA book for a lot of it. Maybe it was because a good deal of the book was spent focused on the group's teenage years, I don't know. Anyway, while there were definitely plot elements that I've seen a lot (old group of friends coming together, mysteries unravelling, secrets, etc.) there were enough unique elements in this book that it stayed interesting. In particular, the idea of the Dedication was really cool and I wish we'd spent more time focused on it, rather than kind of just slowly moving through the present.

Overall a decent book - a good thriller, quick read, but definitely reads a bit like a YA book at times
