The Hand That First Held Mine by Maggie O'Farrell

3.0

First of all, this is nothing like the type of book I usually read and I was skeptical going into it because of my extremely short attention span and tendency to bore rather easily. As I expected, not much actually "happens" in this book but surprisingly, I was completely absorbed the entire time! From other reviews of this book I knew it involved two separate stories that took place in two different time periods and that the stories would somehow come together in the end and in a tragic way. Maybe because I knew this, the "twist" was predictable for me, but nevertheless, I enjoyed the story.
