With One Shot: Family Murder and a Search for Justice by Dorothy Marcic

4.0

I found out about this book (and, therefore, the murder) on an Oregon, Wisconsin Facebook page where it was being discussed. As a longtime resident here, I was curious. I was so fascinated, I couldn't put it down. However, at times, I felt that the writing was slightly repetitive (which slowed the narrative) and could've been more concise. Overall, I gave it four stars because it was so compelling. I'm glad the author felt compelled to write this book about her family's tragic loss. Even though justice was miscarried, this book brings a measure of vindication by bringing many strange events to light that never should have been hidden.
