Eleven year old Nora had no idea that her father was murdering women in their basement until the police showed up at their door. Twenty six years later, she’s a well respected surgeon, and two of her patients wind up dead in the same brutal way her father carried out his slayings… but he’s in prison, right?

I’ll be honest, I am a little disappointed by the ending. Based on other Freida McFadden books, I thought I was going to be blown away by the plot twist, but it felt a bit random to me. There was so much potential. I enjoyed the past and present plot lines. But it felt like I was getting through almost all of the book before any real truths came to light. Not my favourite book of hers.
