By far the worst in the series. A certain character death was very poorly executed and I believe would have been much more effective if done in the previous novel. The finale was enjoyable though and Padera and Gifford's relationship asking with Raithe's arc taking a turn and Tesh beginning to join the group of main characters still makes this book much better than a lot of modern fantasy novels.
