Fade Away, by Harlan Coben

4.0

Around here, the third or so book in the series I thought that the series started to hit its stride. One of the reasons I often enjoy these detective series (as opposed to a single mystery story,) is its ability to mimic long form fiction in other mediums. Much like Lost, the Sopranos, and other TV dramas of recent history have shown that a narrative strung out over extremely long arcs can be even more engrossing the ability to watch characters evolve even in these slightly bubblegum type books enhances the enjoyability of reading them.
