Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
This needed content warnings. If it had had them, I wouldn’t have even picked this book up to begin with. At 26% it’s just dark. Extremely dark and sad and I’m sure it’s leading to a whole “life is hard but so worth it” kind of thing but I won’t be finding out. The constant mention of the pandemic made it uncomfortable and I would’ve liked to be warned about that-2020-2022 was probably the darkest and hardest part of my life to date. Constantly being reminded of that time isn’t fun. Also, infidelity, infertility, cancer, death of a parent, suicidal ideation and intent. And that’s just the first quarter of the book.  Not to mention the extremely long winded chapters and it’s basically just Phoebe’s story of why her life sucks. No thank youuuuuu
