Wow... Holden and Julep are probably one of the best book couples I have ever read in a college sports romance. Both of their stories were so emotional and loved how they found each other. Honestly, I didn't even remember Holden in the other two books. I didn't realize he's been injured lol. Regardless of that, Holden was everything I needed in a book boyfriend. He was so dependable on and off the field and not the typical QB1 you usually read in college sports romance. I feel QBs with tortured pasts can become players because they don't want to confront their past. But Holden had a lot more depth to him. His love declaration at the end...I lived for that scene!!
Julep (I do not like that name lol) was also someone I kept rooting for throughout the book. The scene where Julep answered his text messages by stopping him before he left the tunnel for the game made me "awwww" out loud. There wasn't going to be anyone who understood her as Holden did, and I was so happy she was able to find her person.
So far, Holden and Julep are my favorite couple in the series!
