Cilka's Journey by Heather Morris

5.0

Cilka is 18 years old when she is finally released from Auschwitz. But like many other women, she is sentenced to a labor camp for 15 years for having helped the Nazies, despite the fact that she only helped them to survive. She now has to use her wits, charms and beauty to survive horror once again...
This historical fiction is a follow-up to The Tattooist of Aushwitz by the same author, which I absolutely loved. And I loved this one just as much. I don't know how Heather Morris does it, how she can write and turn something so horrible into something so beautiful...
