So I had initially read the short story about Styx and Ellias and it triggered all the feels but also made me so so much more curious. Fae has such amazing detail with her writing and her mind is a beautiful place which made me even more curious about this story so when I found out there was an extended version coming I jumped at the chance to read it!
We start out meeting Elias, who is basically the town hermit, he lives for his garden and his pupper, Rotho. He doesn't have friends, he doesn't have social media he doesn't care about the internet. He despises when he has to go to town and deal with all the people there. He lives on the edge of town close to the woods and everyone knows the rumors of the monster in the woods, you can't grow up in town without hearing them, but to believe them... not so much.. but should he?
