Last Daughter of Krypton by Mike Johnson, Michael Green

This was fine. It was okay for a retelling of Supergirl’s origin story (or maybe it was a re-re-re-telling; Christ in a hand-basket, DC, quit rebooting your universe already). I definitely prefer Supergirl as Clark’s cousin instead of an angel thing or whatever she was in the 2000s. I hated her costume though. It was especially terrible because there were parts I liked (the cape and the segmented top) but then there would be a frame highlighting her stupid knee-less boots (just why) or it would focus entirely on her ass with the bizarre gold trim on the back. By the way, DC and Marvel, both of you listen a sec here: I never need to see a teenage girl’s ass featured that prominently in that many frames. Come on. She can wear that little pleated skirt the old Supergirl had since I know asking for pants would be a crime. Anyway, all of this was pointless because they’ve rebooted the DC universe from the New 52 so I don’t even know what’s going on with Supergirl now. Maybe she’s back to being an angel. Maybe she has pants. Skip this unless you’re a huge Supergirl fan because it’s just rehashing an old story with a worse costume.
