Sacred Wisdom: Meditations of Marcus Aurelius: Spiritual Teachings and Reflections by Marcus Aurelius, Alan Jacobs, George Long, Watkins Publishing

2.0

Three stars for content but I'm taking off a star for crap translations like "if thou findest..." and "...if thou wert...", why would you use phrases like this when you are translating something for modern English speaking readers? I think you meant "if you find" and "if you were".

As for the content, the fact that this is one of the best works of Roman philosophy just shows that there's nothing original and not much interesting in Roman philosophy. It's fine I guess, but it's no more insightful or profound than an Ann Landers column.
