Early Chapter Book, Age Level: 2nd-4th grade, published on January 29th, 2013. This book follows Amelia Bedelia on her quest to get a bike like the new popular girl at school. Unfortunately, that bike is worth way more than her parents are willing to pay, and they are making her come up with the money all on her own. Amelia has to then brainstorm to find any way to make some money for her dream bike. I think that this could be a fun book for students to read on their own time, or as a free choice book in the classroom. The specific educational content is lacking, but its purpose is to entertain the audience rather than inform. Students would be able to look to this book for light hearted fun during the school day in between their content filled readings, which I do think is important to consider.
