I was so excited to read this book. The blurb made the book sound like it would be this hilarious ex-friends to rivals to lovers when that wasn’t really the case.

This beginning arguing scenes with Nate & Collins were childish and did sound like temper tantrums. The story would have been better if it was duel POV and if Nate’s character didn’t act the way he did for the first 120+ pages. I thought the writing was too wordy and the plot at some points could have been better thought out.

Collins’ character was the saving grace. She was so flipping lovable and her inner side comments was the comedic relief. Her parents & the friendships she made really pushed her to develop and be better. Ruby is absolutely the best of all friends in the world. She and Collins could take over the world if they wanted to.

All this to say, I DNFed the book at page 288. I think I know where the plot is going but the unbearable Nate is making me not want to read the rest.
