Get Me Out of Here: My Recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder by Rachel Reiland

challenging hopeful reflective medium-paced

4.0

Reading this wasn't easy, but I was invested in Rachel's story the entire way through. There were a lot of hard-hitting moments that resonated with me. Some chapters made me uncomfortable but I knew they were necessary for her recovery. Overall, this book made me feel many emotions, which I enjoyed. I hope to read more memoirs about mental health in the future and see different perspectives and journies.

I'm not a religious person and religious undertones make me uncomfortable, so the chapter where
she accepts God had me feeling weird
. It did give me some insight into what can fill someone with faith so there's that at least.
