The Tea Planter's Wife by Dinah Jefferies

3.0

I found this book to be intriguing at times however, also to be a bit dragging at times as well. When Gwen was grappling with whether to tell Laurence of her secret, I found it exciting however, when she spoke of her time at the plantation, I found it a bit long, waiting for it to finish so then I could get to the next good part of the story. I also felt that Savi didn't play quite as big of a role as it seemed at the beginning of the book. Some of the characters were never fully explained (e.g. Verity), with their back stories only skimming the surface. Overall, most of the book was quite good, and kept me turning the pages. However, I did find that I was bored at times, and wanted to skip over certain sections of the book.
