"Did you put your name into the Goblet of Fire, Harry? Dumbledore asked calmly."

Now that I got that out of my system on to the review. If you want to read about magical schools competing against each other, friendship, and the beginning of dark times this is the book for you.

Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. What adventures await our favorite trio Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they start their fourth year of magical education? This year at Hogwarts the Triwizard Tournament has been revived. The Triwizard Tournament was a magical contest held between the three largest wizarding schools of Europe: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Durmstrang Institute, and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, each school being represented by one Champion. Except this time in order to prevent those who are underage from entering the tournament and placing their names in the goblet of fire  Professor Dumbledore place an age line around the goblet of fire, that only those who are the age of seventeen can drop their name in it.

But on Halloween night during the drawing of champions four names came out instead of three. First was  Viktor Krum (1994 Champion, Durmstrang),  Fleur Delacour (1994 Champion, Beauxbatons), Cedric Diggory (1994 Champion, Hogwarts), and Harry Potter (1994 Champion, Hogwarts). Who placed Harry's name in the goblet of fire? for what purpose? For the longest time up until the end of the first task only Hermione visibly stood by Harry's and believed him when he said that he did not place his name in the goblet of fire. Ron on the other hand believed that Harry willingly entered the tournament. On the events leading up to the Yule ball Ron finally realizes that Hermione is a girl. During the Yule ball Ron gets jealous of Viktor because his date was Hermione.

The First Task of the Triwizard Tournament took place on 24 November, and the objective was to retrieve a golden egg that was being guarded by a dragon - the egg would be located within a clutch of real dragon eggs. The unexpected task I mean the Yule Ball (25 December, 1994) in which Viktor Krum's date is Hermione, Fleur Delacour's date is Roger Davies, Cedric Diggory's date is Cho Chang, and Harry Potter date is Pavarti Patil. Second Task (24 February, 1995)  After managing to reveal the secret of the golden egg, Harry realizes that the second task is to find the merpeople in the Hogwarts lake, to retrieve something they have taken from him. Third Task (24 June, 1995) in which the champions must reach the middle of the maze (quidditch pitch) and be the first to take the cup wins.

The person who placed Harry's name in the goblet of fire and made sure that Harry would become one of the champion did have a purpose. In reality it was just another plot with the endgame of Voldemort's revival and Harry's death. Will Ron and Harry patch up their friendship? Will Harry survive all the tasks? How did Harry ask Pavarti to be his date to the Yule ball? Will their be any lasting friendship not only among the champions but also all the students in all participating schools? Will Harry survive another encounter against Voldemort? Read the book to find out.
