I watched the film before reading the book and was a huge fan. I was hesitant going in to this as I knew details weren’t going to be the same and I was worried it was going to ruin the movie for me, but it hasn’t.
I almost look at the movie and book as 2 different stories. They have the same characters, plot, events and drama but I see the book in a different light to the movie.
It wasn’t my favourite romance YA I’ve read but I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing how they turn out once adapted into a movie.
The ending for this book was different to the ending in the film, which makes me interested to see how the second book of this series starts and what else can be made of this romance for it to be a trilogy.
