The Lavender Keeper by Fiona McIntosh
5.0
I picked up this book because… it was featured in a couple of the Better Reading Top 100 lists and was our assigned book for the local libraries book club.
I loved… how gripping this book was. Once I got into it, all I wanted to do was read it. I loved the romance of it all and the fact that she was a spy. I cannot wait to read more of her work. There were surprises around every corner and I did not know who sh would choose.
I disliked… how slow the beginning was.
This book reminded me of… the World War II aspects reminded me of other war books that I have read such as The Girl from Krakow and The Diary of a Young Girl but this was still vastly different from what I have read previously.
I would recommend this book to… those who are into historical romances, fictional books based around WWII and those who want a kick ass female lead.
