The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente
3.0
"When you are born," the Golem said softly, "your courage is new and clean. You are brave enough for anything."
September is a well-spoken girl from Omaha who wishes nothing more but for adventures and more excitement in her life.. When the Green Wind happens to be right in front of her window and she gets shipped off to the Fairyland...
For me the beginning wasn't as captivating but it progressed through the middle. There were a few things I liked about this story.
One of them is the concept of the Nasnas (they are like ying and yang, half-half, and together they are neither).
Second the twist of the antagonist, the Marquess, which made it more believable. Third there were some nice quotations in here that I liked.
