What a delightful surprise this book was. At the start, I wasn't too sure about Eleanor, but that quickly began to change. I loved the cast of characters met along the way.
We meet Eleanor at a crossroad in her life. She's ready, or thinks she is supposed to be at least, to settle down and find a partner. She also, as we come to learn, had a past that has deeply impacted her and her self identity.
This book was funny, sweet, sad, and at times difficult, but I so enjoyed being part of Miss Eleanor Oliphant's journey. This is a book about connections, finding and accepting one's self, perception, and letting go.
Would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind a narrator who may start out kind of unlikeable and is willing to go on the journey. If you meet her where she's at, Eleanor shines.
