The Dime by Kathleen Kent

Awesome read.

Just feels like she got so much texture into the novel. The relationships especially, whether they be with her partner, her co-workers, her neighbors, or the criminals she encounters all read (to me) as spot on.

The setting (Texas), with all it entails for a woman in a relationship with another woman, also seems realistic. But then again - how the hell would I know, being a male from New York.

Read this on a road trip - in the car both ways - and was unable to put it down for any length of time.
