I am biased: This book was written by an old friend and brilliant coworker.
But truly, I enjoyed this book immensely! I have some minor quibbles, as I would with any book, but I'd recommend it heartily.
The entire time I was reading I was hoping the character would get a job at a cosmetics company or McDonald's, and I was rewarded :)
