We Contain Multitudes by Sarah Henstra
5.0
This time around, I was finishing a re-read of this book after annotating it for my friend. I started it less than a year after the first read (which is really quite rare for me), but i have to say that i loved it just as much the second time around. i was actually really surprised to see so many negative reviews of this book, because it immediately became one of my all-time favorites.
this book was beautiful. it contained so many gorgeous lines. this book made me want to write poetry. it made me want to re-read it a million times over, just to bask in the beauty of their love once more. there was no point in this book where i was bored (although there were several where my heart was broken.) it made me /feel/ things. it was everything that i believe a book should be. all of the characters were different and well-developed and had story plots of their own. i love jo, and i love kurl, and i will always be rooting for them. <3 here’s to the pink highlighter that died because i used it far too much, highlighting lines that made me feel something.
