Effin' Birds: A Field Guide to Identification by Aaron Reynolds

4.0

This book is pretty hilarious, although it's a bit of a one-note joke. I read just a little bit a day, sort of as a palate cleanser between tasks at work and to keep it from getting too stale. Perhaps an odd criticism, but I would have liked this a bit better if the "identification" of the birds was more "accurate" (some of Reynolds' labels of the birds were obviously 'off' -- as in calling something a duck when it clearly was not a duck). But hey, if you like the idea of foul-mouthed fowl and birds generally being like your unpleasant family members, co-workers, or Internet trolls, then this is the book for you.
