Not only is this an awesome sequel, I liked it more than the first. When shit happens, it is serious. The sexual tension is superb, the descriptions vivid and even the writing style has improved. I enjoyed Mac from the first book, but now I really like her, and I am impressed with the amounts of abuse she takes. Barrons is still my favourite character. There is a lot of character development, the plot thickens with each chapter, and the world grows ever darker. A good read, one I absolutely devoured. I am keeping this review short because I need to go start reading the next installment. It is just that good.
