As a big fan of "Discovery of Witches" trilogy I was excited to dive into this book and Marcus's history. On the heels of "Discovery of Witches", the book was more history than adventurous and exciting romp. There are three story lines that didn't feel woven together (funny, considering Diana is a weaver). The stories felt forced together, especially Diana's. In the end I'm not sure what part Diana's story played in the grand theme. That was clunky.
The book is an interesting walk through the early days of America, taking us into the weedy details about day-to-day life (not fun) through the eyes of Marcus.
If that's your thing, you'll enjoy this book.
